Trip to the Dog Park

Hey everyone out there. Ok, first off, gotta say a welcome again, and this time, it's to a couple of cats. Yep, I met them in Florida. And even though they wouldn't come out and play with me, they told me they'd love to read my blog, so I had them added to it. So welcome kitties.
Ok, tonight the humans took us dogs to the dog park. Well there was a new member in our midst. A little puppy called Topez. She was just a young thing, all over us, but she was real nice. After the humans stuffed their faces, off we went. There were a ton of dogs there tonight. I was surprised cuz it was super hot out there. Shoot I hogged the water supply. I was like I'm black, I need the most water. I don't care that you're pantin' your head off, too bad I was here first! So that was that, then I wanted to harass a few of the dogs that came in. What are you doin' here. Excuse me you can't come in here. Funny thing is one believed me. Winston Matilda and I were all pickin' on this pitbull that was scared of it's own shadow. Ok Winston was concerned, Matilda wanted to play and I was instigatin'. There was this one dog though, shoot I finally had it with him. He was little, but he kept puttin' his front paws up on my side and just walkin' along sideways on his hind legs as I walked. Dude leave me alone! I finally yelled at him. Made mom mad cuz she fussed at me but I mean it! Get away! There were these cute little lab puppies too. They were the hit of the park for a while. Just the youngest little babies I've seen in a long time. Well, we finally got home and got more water, now we're all just crashed on the floor. Funny how a few hours can ware me right out!
Only other thing that went on this week was my mom went out lookin' for jobs again, and it was super hot that day too. I was pantin' a lot even though mom kept plenty of water in me. I got an apple that day too. That made my day. Well, I better go for now. I'll be back later.

I did it, and other news

Hey everyone, first I gotta welcome some new readers. So you know who you are, welcome, hope you like it here. Hope I don't offend you humans too much because I think y'all are dumb. Allright. on with the post. We're back in Greenville now. That vacation is over. Boy it was fun too. Man I ate so much stuff, most ok, but some not so good either. And even though I'm fightin' an ear infection, yes another one, it was all worth it. No, my ear don't hurt. Just kind of bothers me a bit. The last of our trip was just hangin' out really. I got to see my Mandy! She's one of the new readers of this thing. Shoot what she doin' in Florida! I saw her twice this week, and it took me a while to warm up to her again. Shoot she left Greenville! Me and her were good buds! And she up and leaves! She made up for it though when we went to her house, and I first got to harass her two cats. Y'all know how I feel about cats. I just wanna play, and they frustrate me to no end when they won't let me play with them! So then, my Mandy breaks out the treats. First her and mom got me some at a store, so I got to try them, then Mandy got out carots and gave me some. I also got an apple at her house, and a whole bowl of water with ice cubes in it. We went outside, and she has a pool too. Dude everybody's got a pool around here. It's stinkin' hot down here and they have the beech, but they need pools too I guess. As you all know, I spent a lot of the week tryin' to figure out how to get in the pool. Well, I was doin' the same with Mandy's pool. I walked around and around it, finally I noticed the stairs and in I went! Score! I was so proud of myself for swimmin' on my own.
Mom and some of the family went to see fireworks that night, I just laied on the sea wall and ignored them. I've seen them before. Old news. But the humans get all in to it and stuff. Shoot it ain't edible, why bother. Anything nonedible is a waste of energy to get excited about I mean it.
We got back home yesterday. I seriously want a break from obnoctious dogs. I've had Matilda, then Roxie, then Matilda again. Na, I'm kiddin'. But they so young and just wanna play. They should! They puppies, but I just don't like to play. I never did. And I especially don't now. Give me food! It's good to be home though. I think I finally get to sleep in my crate again tonight. I can't wait either shoot! Ok all, I think that's it for now. I'll be back soon, behave!

I love vacation

I'm back everyone! Man I'm havin' so much fun here! Shoot! Mom don't even know half the stuff I've eaten since I been here. Halarious! I got a milk bone from Alaina, shoot I got tons of stuff from that girl. Other than eatin' an aweful lot, I been sleepin', goin' for walks, mom worked me some the other day. They went shopping. It was hot too. Dude it's seriously hot here! Thank goodness this place is cooled down, and they have stone floors. I sprall out on it and just take it easy. I been in and out of the pool a lot too. I haven't yet figured out how to get in, but once someone helps me, I swim all over till I get to the stairs. I been to the ocean too. In fact, we went today, and shoot I thought I was gunna die of heat exhaustion! Mark was walkin' me around, everyone was lookin' for shells. What for! Mom did give me water though and I greatfully drank all of it. But it didn't cool me down that well. Finally we left though. I appologize for the out of orderness of this post. I'm just sort of tryin' to update on the activities, but I'm more reportin' as I remember. Yesterday everyone left for what was called a water park. Mom left me home. Thank goodness. I got a day to just sleep and chew my bone, and a small break from Roxie. Na, she ain't too bad. But she picks the oddest times to play with me. I'll be layin' there, sleepin' or tryin' to stay out of the humans way cuz they doin' somethin', and here she come! Shoot leave me alone it ain't play time right now. Can't you see the humans are doin' stuff? And she don't take no for an answer either! She just starts barkin'! Gets the humans all mad and everything. O, and another thing about her? Ok y'all, I don't know what it is, but I keep runnin' in to dogs that just ain't dogs! They just ain't! Dasher ain't, Matilda, well I think she a dog, but she sure ain't a lab and I think she might have a screw loose, and now Roxie, she ain't much of a dog either. Accept when Mark comes over she makes a complete fool of herself barkin' like she's gunna kill him. Then she turns in to miss, I'm gunna kill you shepherd. Here's me in the corner laughin' because what she really is is scared spitless. What a wimp. Her mom threw her in the pool, the dog got out, started shiverin', and began licking herself like a cat. I was so embarrassed! So yeh, yet another dog to add to my list of dogs that ain't dogs. Least Winston is a dog. I think the only other thing is, I was incensed by that little girl Alaina. I just wanted a place to curl up and sleep. It was night time, my blanket was downstairs, everyone was upstairs, so I searched and searched and finally found a blanket to curl up on. I just drop off to sleep when I feel the blanket being yanked out from under me. I look up and see the little girl whom I sometimes have a like not like relationship. I like her cuz she is a constant source of food, I don't like her cuz she sometimes smacks me for no reason, and she sometimes won't leave me alone. So I see her, and she yanks the blanket out from under me. Excuse me! How rude! I was mindin' my own for real! My Dasher dad finally took me downstairs where I greatfully found my blanket. No one will yank that out from under me. Ok all, I think I'm all caught up. What a huge entry. That's what I get when I go on vacation and wanna report it all and wait a few days between posts. Y'all losers behave, I'll be back soon.

Vacation

Hey there y'all, so I'm writin' from the comfort of my blanket which mom was nice enough to bring on this trip. It's weird though, cuz we do this kind of thing every year with these people, but my April and Winston are usually here too. This time, my Dasher dad came down and picked up my mom and me and we drove a very long way today. Think mom said we're in Florida. I thought we were goin' home to see Dasher and my Dasher mom. But no, we at this huge house, and y'all, I don't think my tail has stopped waggin' since I got here. Mom let me go and I just explored my little heart out. Then mom threw me in the pool. Shoot mom! What on earth! It was kind of fun though. I felt lots better after that. I was most excited cuz I get a break from Matilda, sorry dog, but honestly you are just too much sometimes. But I traded her in for another one. Roxie's here, and she's sort of like Matilda, accept not as inappropriate and she has a bit more respect for personal boundaries. She keeps wantin' me to play with her. Shoot! I don't wanna play witchyou. I am tryin' to sniff here, and look for food. I already got me two apple cores. Score! But she follows me everywhere, sniffin' me all over. Mom went swimming today and pulled me in the pool again with her. She held me up while I sort of paddled around the pool. Good thing too cuz it's hot in this Florida sun. Especially on a black dog. We walked on the beech tonight too. Mom put me in harness though cuz she couldn't see where to go. I was good even if I was a bit excited. Mom groomed me and wiped out my ears and I'm good to go. I'm a very tired lab right now though, so this entry is short. But I'm sure, if every day is as crazy, I'll have lots to report. So till next time y'all,

Finally!

Hey everybody.
So it finally happened. No, I didn't get more food, still workin' on that one. But I finally have my own e-mail address. I know, who really cares I'm a dog, but I been wantin' one for a long time now. Mom says I have my Rachel to thank for this. Apparently she worked for a very very long time gettin' it for me. Somethin' about mom's phone randomly didn't have a signal to receive the text message with the varification code. Whatever. Point is, it finally got set up. And for that, my Rachel, thank you from the bottom of this lab's heart. Ok enough with the mush. Here's a more Reba-like response. Good grief it's about time mom and my Rachel! Shoot I only been askin' for my own e-mail for months now! Now at last I can reply to whoever comments to my blog and not have to use mom's e-mail address. My readers will know it's me when I write. For any of you out there who wanna write me, my address is: rebathedog@gmail.com. Simple, straightforward, to the point.
Next item of news. Mom and my April ordered Winston and I some new bowls. They came yesterday and they were so excited. I was like dude it's just a bowl! Put somethin' in it then we'll have reason to celebrate. There's somethin' different about these bowls though. They're shiny metal like our old ones, but they have a raised hump in the center. Looks sort of like a shiny tennis ball stuck in the middle of the bowl. I heard mom call them, slow feed bowls. Shoot I already have a slow down bowl. The thing's all divided up in to sections and is the most annoying thing to eat out of. But mom feeds me in them because I eat too fast and sometimes choke on my food. Well ma, if you'd leave food down all the time for me I wouldn't be so starvin' all the time! I guess these new bowls are better cuz they're metal. Well, dinner time came around, and I was my usual ferocious self. When mom finally gave me the signal, shoot I laied in to that new bowl. I sent food flyin' everywhere! Don't think the humans were all that happy about that. I guess I need time to get used to this bowl. It's better than the one I have with sections. Winston had to one up me by daintily eating his food in a circle around the shiny ball in the center. Goody goody! Well, looks like mom's gettin' ready to go somewhere today, I guess I better go. Until next time everybody, be good, and e-mail if ya think about it.

O yeh! (indignent labby snort)

One more thing that I can't believe I forgot to mention. I can't believe I forgot cuz this made me so mad! So Matilda and my Rachel went out with the trainer one more time. mom and I didn't go this time. Well mom goes in to the bedroom, brings out my cookies! Hope you heard that, MY COOKIES! And hands some to my Rachel to give to Matilda. So now, not only does that lab get food rewards for crossin' the street, but she gets special cookies for, well I don't even know what! My cookies! Ma! And she didn't even give me one! The injustice. Hope you happy Matilda. Go get your own cookies! Ok I'm off the soap box now. And I'm again happy cuz mom fed me dinner. Now I really have to go out.

Matilda's loosin' it

Hey everybody.
So today, mom got me all groomed and prettied up. I had no clue why until we had a visitor this afternoon. In walks this man, and Matilda was all excited like she had seen him before. Wel come to find out, he was a trainer from her school. Well of course I started imediatly wonderin' what on earth he was doin' here. I've had a trainer from my school come out when mom and I were havin' some problems. Awe! Matilda! You better start behavin'. I've seen her in harness y'all and she like afraid to walk. What on earth! Winston says I shouldn't laugh. But afraid to go forward? Shoot! So, we harnessed up and went out. Mom brought me because sometimes if Matilda won't go around something, I have to go to show the blessed thing that it's ok to go around a trash can. Cuz you know, those trash cans can be pretty scary. Shoot I almost got eaten by one one time. Yes, I'm bein' the queen of sarkasm here. Well, mom and I stayed back so the trainer could see exactly what Matilda was doin'. If you ask me, she was bein' a total baby! My Rachel, shoot you're doin' fine with her I think. But the trainer must have given some good advice, because she started gettin' better along the walk. She gets a lot of food rewards though. That ain't fair! Mom was givin' me food rewards last summer when I was havin' dog distraction issues, but I got better at it, and now she just gives me praise again. I wasn't trained with food rewards but boy it is not fair when I see Matilda get a treat. And for what? For crossin' a street? Shoot I do that all the time and just get a good girl! What's Matilda got to be afraid of! I mean it! my Rachel caries around a special pouch just loaded with food that she gives that dog! Shoot! Anyway, it was so hot outside and after a super long walk, we came back to crash. The man said a few more things to the humans, I drank almost a whole bowl of water and sulked because Matilda got food and I didn't. Shoot if I act all afraid and stuff will I get food then? Not much else goin' on around here. Mom cleaned off her balcony finally and got the fountain all cleaned out. So now we been sittin' out there a lot. I love layin' on the balcony watchin' everyone go by. Matilda's a dork and wants to bark at people so she has to be put inside. I just laugh. Dog can't even control herself. Shoot just enjoy the scenery! Winston keeps sayin' be nice, but I'm sorry, I just can't resist. Well, I'll be back later all, hope all my readers are behavin'. I'm off to bug mom cuz I gotta go out.
